| One of my small quilt groups of 14 people decided for the second year to each make a quilt and enter them in our quilt show as a group project. Last year we all made blocks for each other. This year we decided to make a quilt for ourselves, but use the same theme and see how different they would turn out. We chose to all make vertical quilts. I chose my pattern from the book called "Divide and Conquer." I used the basic premises, reduced it by 10% but changed the placement a lot. I pieced and appliquéd the quilt and had Carol Katsulis do the machine quilting for me. (2003) 2 First Place Ribbons for Viewer's Choice at the 2004 PVQA Quilt Fair. |
